Just the Facts

One of the more thought provoking questions that business people frequently ask me is: “What should I learn from large companies that I could readily implement in my own business?” 

In simple terms successful large companies consistently generate good quality easy-to understand management information: they use this information both to control their businesses and also in making business decisions. I would summarise their approach as “just provide the facts in a simple easy to understand format”. A brief commentary highlighting key issues and trends would form an integral part of this information. Sounds good so far – but what does it mean in practical terms?
